So About Those Rumors That Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton Are Feuding…

Over the weekend Kensington Palace confirmed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are moving to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate early next year as they prepare for the arrival of their first child. Why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are choosing to relocate outside the palace is still a mystery, but the Internet has drummed up several theories. Most of them are pretty benign: They want to make more room for Markle's mother, Doria Ragland; they're keen on raising a family outside the "fishbowl" of Kensington Palace; Windsor simply holds significance to them, etc. If we had to rank the theories, these three would top the list of "most believable."

At the bottom, though, is this insipid notion that Markle and her sister-in-law Kate Middleton aren't getting along. A recent report from The New Zealand Herald posits a riff between the two duchesses as reason for this move. "Kate and Meghan are very different people," the source said. "They don't really get on."

But the Daily Mail shut this down with its own report, published yesterday. Sources tell the publication that "there has been no dramatic falling-out" between Markle and Middleton.

This was also corroborated by Richard Palmer, the royal correspondent of the Daily Express in London. "The story behind Harry and Meghan’s move to Frogmore Cottage? Harry and Meghan spreading their wings," he tweeted. "No big fallout but Kate and Meghan not close. No royal properties available in London apparently."

"Spreading their wings" is right in line with the less dishy reasons thrown out there for Markle and Prince Harry's move. This feud talk, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have wings at all.
