  • Thomas Rhett has been sharing new, unreleased songs via Instagram while he and his family are self-isolating at home.

  • On Tuesday, April 21, he released “Ya Heard”—a heartfelt melody about the power of prayer and his appreciation for his wife and kids.

From their fairytale marriage to the way they celebrated Thomas’ 30th birthday in quarantine, we keep finding more and more reasons to love their family. And now, we have one more.

On Tuesday, April 21, Thomas took to Instagram to release a new song he’s been working on. The clip features Thomas singing while playing acoustic guitar. He captioned the post, “‘Ya heard’ New song cause why not. And, no I cannot figure out how to make myself no upside down in the cover photo.”

Once he started singing, we couldn’t get over his heartwarming lyrics:

“There’s been times, where I thought that my / Prayers never made it past the ceiling, much less the sky / And I’ve had doubts, questions about / My faith but I don’t even really know why or how / ‘Cause I look at this green-eyed girl from Tennessee / The one I bothered you about since I was 17 / And I know that I wasn’t wasting breath or words / ‘Cause I look at her, and I’m pretty sure, ya heard.”

Yup, we’re crying. And that’s just the first verse of his new melody. He goes on to sing about praying for his dream of being a musician, as well as his children, which he says and Lauren had been hoping for since he was 23 years old.

While this isn’t the first song he’s shared during quarantine, it’s his most romantic one. So naturally, we’re swooning. And we’re not alone. Where multiple fans are begging for a new album in Thomas’ comments section, one wrote, “My favorite song ever. Please release it now,” in all caps, while another chimed in, “This next album is about to be unmatched,” and another wrote, “BRB, playing this on repeat until it’s released.”
