Here’s a look at the best battles in the NBA this week.

Heat at Clippers

Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 10:00 p.m. ET

Two of the best teams in the NBA will go at it as the Miami Heat attempt to contain the mighty Los Angeles Clippers. Heat guard Jimmy Butler has been on a tear this season, averaging 20 points and 6.8 assists per game. He need to give the Heat all of that and more as he hopes to best Kawhi Leonard and a high-scoring Clippers offense that has averaged 115.3. points this season.

Rockets at Lakers

Thursday, Feb 6 at 10:30 p.m. ET

Defense is probably going to play a big role in a game featuring two of the best offensive teams in basketball. Behind James Harden and Russell Westbrook, the Rockets have once again been one of the top scoring teams in the league. LeBron James and Anthony Davis should be able to match Harden and Westbrook on offense, so it will come down to which defense can lock down those shooters. The Lakers have a clear edge there, as the team is holding opponents to 106.8 points this year. The Rockets, on the other hand, are allowing an average of 114.5 points per game.

Hawks at Celtics

Friday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m. ET

As the Boston Celtics fight for a better seed in the Eastern Conference, a game against the lowly Atlanta Hawks is just what Boston needs to keep pace with the surging Toronto Raptors and the resurgent Miami Heat. The Celtics should be in good shape, as Atlanta has one of the worst defenses in the NBA. Should the game turn into a blowout, not all hope is lost. A bigger Celtics lead means more time for Tacko Fall and that’s never a bad thing.
