Therapy Dog Supports Uvalde Elementary School for the Last Time in Emotional Video

It's been almost a year since the horrific mass shooting occurred at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. At close to the anniversary of this tragedy, a wonderful therapy dog and his handler visited the school where the students are now attending before the kids went on summer break.

Research has shown that spending time with therapy dogs can have a positive impact on children's mental and physical health. Petting and interacting with dogs can help to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, and it can also lower blood pressure and heart rate. A study has shown that spending time with therapy dogs may be even more beneficial to kids than relaxation exercises.

Here's another adorable video of Henry in action spreading love and care from Instagram.

Therapy dogs are important because they can provide emotional support, comfort, and companionship to people of all ages who are experiencing a range of emotional and mental issues. Therapy dogs are trained to interact with people in a calm and gentle manner, and they are often used in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and disaster zones. Therapy dogs have been used to provide kids who were victims of school shooting incidents process a range of emotions from fear, grief and anxiety.

We can't imagine what these kids have gone through, but we are so grateful that therapy dogs have been there to help them.
