Then and Now: A Look Back at the Cast of 'The Office'

The Office is one of the most popular sitcoms of all time. Who would have thought a mockumentary about the employees of a paper company in Pennsylvania would be such a hit? But that’s exactly what happened in 2015 when the world was introduced to Michael Scott and his team at Dunder Mifflin.

Fans were lucky enough to have many years of Jim, Pam, Dwight, and the rest of The Office characters. But all good things must come to an end, and they officially said goodbye in 2013. Since then, The Office cast has been busy starring in TV shows, movies, and more. Some have even gotten married (to other pretty famous people) and had children. If you’ve been wondering where all the Dunder Mifflin folks are now, keep reading. All the answers are ahead! (Spoiler: None of them live in Scranton.)

Steve was the iconic Michael Scott a.k.a the "world's best boss." 😂 He was the regional manager of the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin, the paper company in which much of The Office takes place.

Steve is soaring to new heights in his career. In addition to being a lead in Apple TV's The Morning Show and Netflix's Space Force, the 58-year-old actor is a family man with his wife, Nancy, and their two teenage children.

Rainn played the hilarious and awkward Dwight Schrute. In the show, Dwight was Michael's assistant and took the job very seriously, often mixing up his title and referring to himself as the assistant regional manager.

Nowadays, Rainn is putting comedy on the back burner while pursuing headier parts. In 2019, he acted opposite Susan Sarandon and Kate Winslet in Blackbird, as well as alongside Jack Dylan Grazer and Fionn Whitehead in the independent thriller Don't Tell A Soul.

Remember Jenna as Pam Beesly? She was the receptionist-turned-saleswoman who was known for being shy, kind, and head-over-heels for Jim Halpert. Just don't expect to run into her at Chile's anytime soon...

Since The Office went off the air, Jenna has been focusing on more dramatic roles, such as the Clint Eastwood-directed, The 15:17 to Paris. Beyond her acting, Jenna is a philanthropist involved in a number of LA-based animal rescue organizations.

John played Jim Halpert, a Dunder Mifflin sales rep who spent much of the early seasons trying to profess his love for Pam (who wasn't single at first). He also lived for tormenting Dwight and Michael.

John is a big star! Despite being a hilarious comic in The Office, nowadays he's taking a turn for the horrific (A Quiet Place) and politically thrilling (Jack Ryan). But it's not all acting for John. He also shares two kids with his wife, actress Emily Blunt.

Angela played Angela Martin, a Dunder Mifflin busy bee who holds the title of accountant, safety officer, and head of the company's Party Planning Committee.

Most recently, Angela has appeared in Never Have I Ever, a Netflix original that won the 2020 People's Choice Award for Comedy Show of the Year. And, you may have noticed, Angela was also in The Princess Bride short.

Leslie played Stanley Hudson, an often grumpy sales rep known for being particularly lazy at Dunder Mifflin.

Leslie has acted in a number of shows and movies since his time on The Office. Best of all, in 2020 he launched a kickstarter to fund Uncle Stan, a proposed spin-off series in which Stanley moves to LA to help his nephew run a flower/motorcycle repair shop.

Mindy was the memorable Kelly Kapoor, a customer service rep at Dunder Mifflin who only had eyes for Ryan. While she left the show after its eighth season to launch The Mindy Project, she returned to guest star a couple of times.

Mindy has had major success. She's appeared in a number of shows and movies like A Wrinkle in Time, Late Night, and The Morning Show. In addition to being an in-demand actress, Mindy is a mother of two.

Brian played Kevin Malone, an awkward and often blunt sales rep at Dunder Mifflin. While technically a minor role, Kevin made a major impact within the show.

While Brian has had a number of small roles since The Office, he spends the majority of his time with his wife, Celeste Ackelson, and their two kids. That said, during the pandemic he teamed up with dozens of actors to present fans with a fully reimagined The Princess Bride, in which he played Fezzik.

Phyllis played Phyllis Vance, who's known as the quiet one around the office (even though she not-so-secretly loves to gossip).

While Phyllis has held a number of roles since The Office, her most notable was as Betty Broderick-Allen, the reserved teacher-turned-ally in the Netflix series, The OA. Much to the dismay of fans, the sci-fi show was cancelled after just two seasons.

Craig played Darryl Philbin, a Dunder Mifflin warehouse worker who started off slow in the show and eventually became a more prominent character. He's beloved for his silly, relaxed demeanor and the way he handles Michael's demands.

Since The Office, Craig has had a number of television and movie roles, including recurring parts on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and American Dad!

Meredith Palmer was a sales rep known for her promiscuity and tendency to party a little too hard.

Kate continues to be a popular television actress. While she's made appearances in a handful of shows, most recently she competed on Dancing With the Stars before being eliminated in the eighth week.

Oscar played Oscar Martinez, an accountant at Dunder Mifflin. He was one of the most well-known openly gay characters in broadcast TV at the time.

Oscar continues to add comedic flair to his roles. He's been in a series of television shows and, when he's not working, spends times with his wife and child.

Paul, who was the The Office's writer, director, and producer, played Toby Flenderson, the HR rep at Dunder Mifflin. He was also the bane of Michael's existence.

Paul is still producing grade-A series. Most recently, he worked on Space Force with Steve Carell. His name is also among the credits for King of the Hill, The Drew Carey Show, The Bernie Mac Show, The Newsroom, and Ghosted.

Jan Levinson was the VP of Sales at Dunder Mifflin and, more specifically, Michael's supervisor. Despite their work relationship, Jan and Michael ended up dating in the second season.

Despite eventually getting fired within the show, Melora maintains her proclivity for being a boss babe. Case in point? Nowadays, she plays Jacqueline Carlyle, the editor-in-chief in The Bold Type, a drama catering to millennials and Gen Z.

Erin Hannon was the receptionist who replaced Pam when she quit to work at Michael's new paper company.

Ellie continues to be a comedic delight. From 2015 to 2019, she played Kimmy in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and continued the role in the TV movie. In addition to her acting accomplishments, Ellie is married with two children.

Ed was Andy Bernard, the regional director in charge of sales at the Stamford Dunder Mifflin branch, which eventually merged with the Scranton branch. Andy was known for being arrogant and under-qualified, which led to his firing...more than once.

Ed has continued to be a comedic powerhouse, heading up movies like The Hangover. Ed is married, but he's incredibly private about his wife and his daughter.

B.J. played Ryan Howard, a sales rep who's always trying to avoid Michael. He was originally nicknamed "The Temp," as he was supposed to be a temporary employee.

Since The Office, B.J. has kept busy by starring in The Newsroom, The Mindy Project, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and more.

Creed played the fictionalized version of himself, which earned him a handful of nominations for a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Creed has acted in a number of series and even worked as the voiceover for the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
