Tech, finance and admin roles requiring experience and qualifications are some of the most in-demand jobs in the UK, according to a new Glassdoor report.

Of the 10 most-searched-for roles in the UK in June, nine pay above the average national gross salary.

At the same time, job seekers are also looking for roles where they can use specialist technology skills, with searches for Java, Python, .net, SQL and Linux prominent during June 2019.

These skills are often self-taught or learned outside of traditional education, demonstrating the desire among job seekers to up-skill themselves to qualify for some of these demanding roles.

Project manager is the UK’s most in-demand job currently, with a salary of about £41,808 a year. It made Glassdoor’s Best Jobs in the UK 2019 list earlier this year, coming in at number 14 with a satisfaction rating of 4.6 out of five.

While these are the most in-demand jobs, Brits explore more than just job descriptions before applying for a role. A company’s culture and values are just as important to Brits as salary when it comes to job satisfaction.
