The Best Shopping Street in Rio

Rio’s Rua Garcia D’Avila is hands-down one of my favorite streets for shopping. The palm-lined alley houses everything from local Brazilian-based shops to luxury meccas like Louis Vuitton. I like to start on one end at the Ipanema concept store for sandals (flip-flops are literally a way of life in Brazil) and end at Foxton, which stocks breezy linen shirts and one-of-a-kind-feeling swimsuits.
