This sneaker optical illusion is making TikTokers question everything: 'Is there something wrong with me?'

Do you see pink and white or grey and turquoise?

An optical illusion of a Vans sneaker is making the rounds again online thanks to Shark Tank investor Lori Greiner.

On Jan. 23, the entrepreneur held up a picture of a Vans sneaker and posed a simple question to her 328,000 TikTok followers: “What two colors do you see in this shoe?”

According to Greiner, the colors that you see in the picture tell you whether you’re more left-brained or right-brained. If you see pink and white, you’re supposedly more right-brained, and if you see gray and turquoise, you’re supposedly more left-brained.

The Vans sneaker optical illusion first went viral back in 2017. At the time, people did some digging and found out that the shoe is, in fact, pink and white, and that the appearance of the teal and gray is simply bad lighting.

Still, this didn’t stop TikTokers from duking it out in the comments.

“I’m convinced people don’t actually see pink and white,” one user said. “They are simply messing with the rest of us.”

“I’M REALLY TRYING GUYS … BUT ALL I SEE IS GRAY AND TURQUOISE,” another added.

“It’s either pink and white or you’re colorblind,” a third wrote.

It’s unclear what the Vans sneaker optical illusion has to do with being left- or right-brained; if you turn the brightness on your phone all the way up and all the way down enough times, you should be able to see both.
