Here’s the Text Meghan Markle Sent Oprah as Her Interview Was Airing
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s explosive tell-all interview with Oprah aired earlier this month, and if you’re wondering what was going on behind the scenes…apparently, Meghan and Oprah were texting!
“Well, I haven’t really spoken to them since the interview because we’re in different time zones,” Oprah told CBS This Morning following the interview. “I got a text from Meghan yesterday saying, ‘How’s it going?’ Because she was putting Archie to bed waiting on the West Coast feed and had no idea what was happening on the East Coast.”
Oprah says she wrote back, “I don’t either. From what I can tell, it’s going well, I know it’s airing,’” and added that she’d probably be having a conversation with the couple about the special later.
Meghan and Harry spoke candidly during their talk with Oprah—opening up about Meghan being denied mental health treatment, the immense pressure they faced while working as senior royals, the horrifying racism Meghan experienced within the royal family itself, and even their relationships with Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince Charles, and the Queen.
