Texas Rescue Makes Plea for Dog in Urgent Need of a Foster Family
She's 5 years old and so sweet.
If we could rescue every dog, we know in our hearts that we would. Every person can only take on so much at one time, though, so we're eternally grateful to the heroes like @dallaspetsalive are there to look out for the four-legged angels who need them.
This week, they're looking for a foster home for Rita, a sweet 5-year-old Pit Bull gal who ended up back at Dallas Animal Services after being adopted in 2019. She's been at the shelter for four months this time around, but she needs a loving foster home where she can truly thrive.

Rita seems like the gentlest pup! She sniffed the other dog in the yard so politely, and the way she licked her caretaker's hand at the beginning of the video had us melting! She must be incredibly positive and resilient, too, if she can remain so trusting and happy after four months in the shelter.
"Praying for this precious baby," said commenter @conniebell195. "Shelter life is no place for these babies, yes better than street but..." We know exactly what you mean! At least dogs like Rita are taken care of in the shelter, but they still miss out on so much. With a foster family, Rita will get the chance to just be a dog!
@Sweet_paws2care4 wrote, "This girl is PERFECT!! Please share to help save her life! We can’t lose her." You can say that again! Rita needs to find her perfect foster match before shelter life takes too much of a toll on her happy self. After this video starts gaining traction, though, we know she'll find where she belongs!
