Here at Bicycling, we test thousands of products every year in our workstations and on the roads and trails. We assess a wide range of criteria during our evaluations, covering safety, performance, durability, ease of use, and price point.

We ride bikes, test tires, accelerate wear and tear on cycling bibs, put tire sealant to work—the list goes on! Depending on the product, we’ll even stretch it, drop it, or heat it up to make sure it stands up to real life.

Then—and here’s where you come in—we invite a select group of lucky Bicycling members to use the product themselves, ride it a ton, and, as a group, report details on how the item performed in a variety of conditions. After all that, we make our final selection of the best products to recommend to our readers.

Only Bicycling members are eligible to become product testers. To access this exclusive member benefit, the first step is to become a Bicycling member.

Product Tester FAQs

I’m a Bicycling member, and I have applied for the program. How do I know if I’ve been selected to test a product?

When you're selected for a study, you'll receive an e-mail confirming your participation and providing information about when you should expect your product to arrive in the mail.

Share Your Experience With Bicycling Readers

Bicycling’s field testers are often the first people to try new products—helmets, cycling apparel, cycling shoes, tires, sealant, and more—and your feedback might even show up in our trusted product reviews or in our magazine, along with expert evaluations from Bicycling’s Test Team.

We can’t wait to hear what you think of the products we send you. But first, you must become a Bicycling member. Several weeks after you sign up for Bicycling, you'll receive an e-mail invite to activate your tester profile. After activating your profile, you’ll be eligible for selection and participation.

Please note: There is no guarantee you will be selected for product testing. This offering is for U.S. residents only.
