Former NBA player Mike Bibby has been accused of sexual abuse and harassment at the Arizona high school where he coaches, The Arizona Republic reports.

Police are investigating claims from a Shadow Mountain High School teacher that Bibby grabbed her by the waist and pulled her into his car while groping her and rubbing his genitals on her in February 2017.

Police investigating Bibby

The Paradise Valley Unified School District confirmed the police investigation in a statement given to the Republic.

Bibby’s attorney Donald Harris denied the allegations when the Republic reached out.

"I can say with pretty much certainty this alleged incident didn't happen and that will be shown down the road," Harris said. "Michael Bibby did not participate in a sexual assault of any way, shape or form that was alleged by this lady two years ago."

Bibby’s accuser filed restraining order

Bibby’s accuser reported the incident to the school’s resource officer on Feb. 13 while seeking a restraining order that was later granted, according to the report.

Bibby played at Shadow Mountain in 1996 before attending the University of Arizona and going on to a 14-year NBA career that ended in 2012.

He’s been the head basketball coach at Shadow Mountain for six years, winning five state titles during his tenure, according to the report.
