A lot has gone down since Tayshia Adams' season of The Bachelorette. There was a drama-filled and historic Bachelor with Matt James, which led to host Chris Harrison stepping down from the show. In his absence, former Bachelorette Tayshia Adams was named a temporary co-host of the show, along with Kaitlyn Bristowe.

These two leading ladies have all the experience they need to guide Michelle Young. I don't think I need to remind you about Zac Clark and Tayshia Adams' super romantic proposal and love story. After getting engaged, Tayshia and Zac shared all of their adorable adventures on Instagram, including running the New York City marathon together.

But now, the couple has officially called it quits—shocking Bachelor Nation fans everywhere. Here's everything to know about their relationship timeline:

December 2021: Tayshia reveals more on Michelle's "Men Tell All" episode.

During Bachelorette Michelle Young's "Men Tell All" episode, co-host Kaitlyn Bristowe asked Tayshia about her recent breakup. "All in all, all I have to say is that I'm heartbroken," Tayshia explained. "But we tried really hard and I still love him very much. And I'm not sure what the future holds."

"It's really hard but we're here for you and obviously want you to be happy," Kaitlyn responded. Then, one of Michelle's final four guys, Rodney Mathews, came out on stage and told Tayshia he was "sorry to hear" the news—causing Tayshia to walk off of the stage in tears.

So, what really happened? A source said that "things have been strained through the fall. Both of their schedules have been really tough," per People. "Tayshia has been very busy and Zac also has a lot on his plate. Scheduling time together was just very difficult."

The source added that Tayshia is also "way more comfortable in the spotlight because of her job and he's much less so."

"At the end of the day, they're very different people," the source said. "They're both good people—she's amazing and he's a great guy and very passionate about his work. But they're a total mismatch."

November 2021: Tayshia and Zac call off their engagement.

Sadly, a rep for the former Bachelorette confirmed that "Tayshia Adams and Zac Clark are no longer a couple," per People. It's unclear exactly why the couple ended their engagement, but the news comes just a few weeks after the pair ran the 2021 New York City marathon together. Tayshia and Zac were also been silent on social media about the split.

Tayshia will be staying in New York City for the time being, according to E! News.

August 2021: Tayshia opens up about how difficult it was to spend time away from Zac.

On an episode of The Ben and Ashley I. Almost Famous podcast, Tayshia opened up about how hard it was for her to be away from Zac while filming Katie Thurston's season of The Bachelorette.

"It's hard to be in a new relationship and then kind of go away for a couple of weeks, you know what I mean? And this is me being real and honest," she said, per E! News. "I think after that, it was kinda like we need to remember why we were with each other. And I think that that's absolutely normal."

Tayshia also mentioned how similar Katie's season felt to her own Bachelorette journey. "For me, I'm not going to lie, because it was so close to, like, my season, I feel like I kinda was in my feels a lot of the journey," she said. "I would even text Zac and be like, 'I'm thinking of us through this thing.' 'I'm thinking of how you kind of stressed out, like, [with me] going on a date or how I was feeling.'"

"It was tough for me," she added. "I was crying a lot." Tayshia also explained that "people don't need to need to know our story, but like, I think people need to know that even when two people are heavily in love, you still go through things. Like, okay, we need to remember where we came from."

But the pair are still going strong, according to a recent Instagram post from Tayshia celebrating their one-year anniversary.

"At approximately this time 365 days ago, I met you! It’s been a wild ride so far with our lives going a million miles an hour but how lucky are we to have had an amazing week together at the place where it all started AND we were to able to renew our wishes a year later?! WILD✨," she wrote in the caption."Happy to have you by my side, Clarky. 143♥️ #happydaythatimetyou."

June 2021: Tayshia and Zac have been exploring all over together.

They went to a Philadelphia 76ers game with friends.

And, toured Tayshia's hometown of Newport.

“P.s. I’m going to need all of you to take note on the second video. Slowly but surely making him a Newport fan,” she captioned a series of Instagram posts.

Zac also jetted out to New Mexico to spend Easter with Tayshia while The Bachelorette was filming.

And, Tayshia has joined Zac on his runs.

May 2021: They said they're not rushing into wedding planning.

Tayshia told GMA that the couple wants to take their time getting to know each other better after their whirlwind romance. "We’re just going with the flow at the moment. We’re just gonna date each other," she said.

Still, Zac added: "I want a big wedding when the day does come. She might think differently, and she’s gonna get what she wants."

When asked in May about wedding planning, Tayshia told Cosmopolitan she's focused on "trying to enjoy New York. And I think that’s where our energy is just because, I don’t know, we just want to enjoy each other. Really, that’s what it is. Engagements are supposed to be fun as well, so we’re just making the most of it."

March 2021: Rumors swirled that Tayshia and Zac split.

When Tayshia posted on social media with a naked ring finger, fans flipped out. It didn't take long for her to clear up the big misunderstanding.

“Woke up to hundreds of messages asking this, but y’all, not gonna lie, I don’t like getting DMs putting this weird energy into the universe. Don’t feel like I need to explain this buuutttt—my ring hasn’t been properly sized yet and needed to be cleaned too. It’s currently with Mr. @neillanecouture. I love that there’s so much love and support around our relationship but please don’t put unnecessary rumors/pressure on us.”

All the Zayshia fans breathed a giant sigh of relief. And, the resized ring was back on her finger within the week, just like Tayshia said. Zac posted all the receipts on Instagram.

And shared sweet sentiments about each other on the 'gram. Zac wrote: "Happy love day Queen. ❤️"

Jan. 2021: Tayshia settled into New York City and living with Zac.

The couple made some big moves—literally. In a new video interview with fellow former Bachelorettes Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin, Tayshia announced her bi-coastal plans. "I'm gonna keep my place here [in California], but yeah we're moving in together," she explained.

Zac then jumped in and added that the couple plans to be on the East Coast for Christmas and New Years and that there was "no return flight yet" for Tayshia. (Later, she even said that she wanted to move to New York last November, but it didn't work out.)

"We're just gonna play it by ear. I'm excited to date her and take her out and do some things that you would typically do if this is a normal relationship," he continued, which Tayshia added was really important to her since, ya know, they "sped things up a little bit."

She then went on to say how happy she is that her family has been so supportive of her and Zac's engagement.

They didn't waste any time. Tayshia made her cross-country move into Zac's place days after their finale aired in December. She wanted to build a "home base" together, per ET.

"My family is still down here [in Southern California] and I have a place of my own... but I really want a firm foundation in something," she told the publication. "And I feel like New York might be it."

Tayshia wanted to support Zac's Release Recovery center. "Zac has a really established business out there, and he is doing so much good that I really couldn't sleep at night knowing that I would be keeping him away from doing that. But also I have been wanting to move to New York forever, so this is kind of like, the perfect storm."

Dec. 2020: The very in-love couple shared all about it in post-show interviews.

The couple did their first joint interview on Good Morning America right after the finale aired and shared insight into how their relationship has progressed since filming. "All the reasons I fell in love with her on the show remain true today and just in our daily life," Zac said.

Tayshia added that the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent quarantines actually helped keep their engagement a secret for the past few months. "It’s been a tad bit easier because sneaking around hasn’t been so hard to hide because not many people are out and about," she said.

"Cheers to masks, right? …I’ve been able to throw on a mask and kinda do what I want," Zac added. Tayshia noted that the masks allowed them to "be incognito" while together.

As for at-home dates, Zac revealed that he's been introduced to Pinterest and, apparently, it supplied some romantic inspo. "So, I did a little scavenger hunt, which was a hit, we had her singing songs and dancing," he said. "And she’s got some other talents that I think the world doesn’t even know about."
