Taylor Swift’s Latest Outfit Is Just a Little Bit Rock and Roll

Taylor Swift is known for her ladylike, all-American, girl-next-door personal style, though a few months ago, around time of the Met Gala, we noticed that the pop singer was sporting edgier fare, transforming herself from America’s sweetheart to America’s grunge sweetheart, with bleached blond hair, dark roots, and pops of plaid to boot.

After her breakup with producer Calvin Harris, Tay-Tay seemed to be back to her old ways, twirling about in the ultra-feminine outfits we’re used to seeing her in. And it seemed her original personal style was here to stay after her split with actor Tom Hiddleston. But it looks like Swiftie was feeling a little bit rock-and-roll again last night attending a Kings of Leon concert along with some of her famous besties, including Lorde, Cara Delevingne, Lily Donaldson, Suki Waterhouse, Zöe Kravitz, Dakota Johnson, and Martha Hunt.

For her night out, Taylor slipped into a figure-hugging black top with slit short sleeves and a black high-waisted miniskirt. She took the pairing from basic to bodacious, adding chunky-heeled, lace-up black stompers and carrying a navy blue bomber jacket to keep warm. She finished the look with a small black Cynnie shoulder bag from Elizabeth and James.

Here, we have the perfect marriage between Swift’s rocker and girly personal style — a happy medium we’d love to see Taylor cruise at, though we can’t lie. Those high-waisted pleated skirts and questionable oxford heels she favors will always have a special place in our hearts.
