Taylor Swift's Boyfriend Joe Alwyn Gave a Subtle Update on Their Relationship This Holiday
Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn aren't the type of couple who will post videos of themselves making out let alone even standing next to each other on Instagram. They don't get photographed out often; their last public date was in the beginning of October, and it's December now. But Alwyn put an end to any holiday breakup rumors before they could even start this afternoon. Swift just posted her Vogue UK cover on her Instagram. Within five minutes of her posting it, Alwyn liked it like the supportive boyfriend he has been and still is. The message is clear: They're doing just fine.
Swift didn't talk about Alwyn in the excerpts of her interview that Vogue UK shared today. She did talk about doing Cats though, acknowledging that yes, the film really is odd but fun. "I really had an amazing time with Cats," she said. "I think I loved the weirdness of it. I loved how I felt I’d never get another opportunity to be like this in my life."
Swift explained to The Guardian earlier this fall why she doesn't talk about Alwyn to reporters...at least in interviews that will be published. “I’ve learned that if I do [talk about my relationship with Alwyn], people think it’s up for discussion, and our relationship isn’t up for discussion,” she said with a laugh. “If you and I were having a glass of wine right now, we’d be talking about it—but it’s just that it goes out into the world. That’s where the boundary is, and that’s where my life has become manageable. I really want to keep it feeling manageable.”
