After her notable silence during the 2016 election, Taylor Swift has come out swinging in 2020. The singer has publicly called out Donald Trump on multiple occasions and, last night, formally endorsed Joe Biden for president. Because this is Taylor Swift we're talking about, she did it with a pile of Biden/Harris cookies and a really cute "voter" necklace.

"I spoke to @vmagazine about why I’ll be voting for Joe Biden for president. So apt that it’s come out on the night of the VP debate," she wrote on Twitter. "Gonna be watching and supporting @KamalaHarris by yelling at the tv a lot. And I also have custom cookies."

Following in the footsteps of Michelle Obama, who donned a glitzy "VOTE" necklace for her Democratic National Convention speech, the singer used a political accessory to put the finishing touch on her debate night ensemble. The dainty chain comes from woman-owned accessory brand Stella and Bow and only costs $65, with $30 of each purchase donated to I Am A Voter.

Since the chain has been worn by like a million celebrities (Ashley Benson, Joey King, Zoey Deutch) it's totally sold out online. However, a brand rep says Stella and Bow will be restocking their "voter" necklaces sometime in the next two weeks.

For her V Magazine cover, Taylor shared a few of the reasons why she has chosen to support Joe Biden for president, which include his stance on social justice, LGBTQ+ issues, and a woman's right to choose.

"The change we need most is to elect a president who recognizes that people of color deserve to feel safe and represented, that women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community deserves to be acknowledged and included," Taylor explained. "Everyone deserves a government that takes global health risks seriously and puts the lives of its people first. The only way we can begin to make things better is to choose leaders who are willing to face these issues and find ways to work through them."

"I will proudly vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in this year’s presidential election," she continued. "Under their leadership, I believe America has a chance to start the healing process it so desperately needs."
