Well, they did it again. Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello performed "Señorita" for the second time at an award show and made everyone think they were going to kiss on stage…and then they didn't. The camera at the American Music Awards caught Taylor Swift's expression during the performance, and she seemed so hyped for the kiss as it looked like it was about to happen. Then Mendes and Cabello pulled away from each other, and the song was over. They were real teases again.

The last time they did this was at the MTV VMAs. It drove celebs including Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas crazy. Jonas even posted about it on his Instagram after, writing, "#VMAs are over, but we’re still waiting for that kiss tho 👀 @camila_cabello @shawnmendes."

Taylor Swift also had an "oh shit" impression at the VMAs:

Mendes and Cabello didn't walk the red carpet together at the AMAs this evening, but they are seated next to each other. They were also seated next to each other at the VMAS, and they made up for the kiss they didn't share onstage with the cuddling in their seats. This ceremony may be the exact same; the show just started.

Cabello spoke to ELLE, by the way, about how she and Mendes approach their romance in real life as if the paparazzi is not watching. "People can say whatever they want to say," she started when asked whether she thought their trying to be private initially created more hype. "They can speculate, but at the same time, we are going to live our own lives, enjoy it, and fall for each other like nobody is watching. That is how I want to live. I never want to open the door for people to feel like they are involved. Like I said, I want it to be mine and [his]. That’s why I’m so tight-lipped about it: because I want to protect it."
