Taylor Swift went to the polls and quietly revealed who she's voting for

Taylor Swift completed her civic duty by voting and she wants you to do the same.

While remaining silent about who she's voting for, unlike fellow-extremely-famous-people Beyoncé and Lady Gaga who publicly support Hillary Clinton, Swift simply encouraged her followers to "go out and VOTE."

However, as reported on Racked, Taylor Swift's outfit is not merely the clothes she threw on haphazardly this morning after the 20th birthday party she threw for Lorde last night.

Rather, the off the shoulder look is a subtle nod toward Hillary Clinton, for whom she is presumably voting.

Kaitlyn Tiffany first pointed out on Twitter that Swift's shouldeless top is a reference an Instagram posted by occasional squad member Lena Dunham.

Three days ago, Dunham posted a composite of herself and Hillary Clinton wearing the same style of sweater with a caption that endorsed the candidate.

Headed to Denver to meet some of my favorite Nasty Women in support of @hillaryclinton! Let's do all we can in the days that remain. RN I'm paying tribute in my @lpathelabel cold shoulder sweater...

By wearing a black shoulderless turtleneck in her Election Day Instagram, Swift managed to quietly show that she (almost definitely) voted for Hillary without angering her Trump supporting fans.

Something that's also strangely impressive is how calm literally everyone is around her. Maybe it's commentary? While Taylor Swift almost certainly has more Instagram followers and more platinum records than you, her vote counts as much as yours. (That is, unless Nils Sjöberg gets a vote.)
