Taylor Swift Skips 2019 Oscars Red Carpet But Is Afterparty-Ready in Metallic Fringe Dress

Taylor Swift may have skipped the actual 2019 Oscars red carpet, but from the looks of her Instagram, she’s all dressed up and ready support her boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn, on the afterparty circuit.

Alwyn starred in one of the night’s most nominated films, The Favourite, and walked the carpet with his co-star, Nicholas Hoult. But after the show ended, Swift shared a photo of herself on Instagram looking afterparty-ready.

The 29-year-old posed in a circular stairwell wearing a strapless metallic knee-length dress covered in tassel and fringe. She rocked a bold pink lip and styled her hair in what appears to be in an updo.

Swift has been supporting her man throughout award season, most recently opting to sit out the Grammy Awards in favor of attending the BAFTA Awards afterparty in London, where they were spotted getting affectionate, as documented by the British newspaper The Sun’s executive editor Dan Wootton on Instagram.

The duo also attended the 2019 Golden Globes together. Alwyn briefly walked the carpet solo, while Swift snuck inside the venue once the show had started. She later made an appearance on stage to present the awards for best original score and best original song in a motion picture alongside her Cats costar Idris Elba.

She went full-out glam for the Globes in an off-the-shoulder black sequin Atelier Versace gown with dazzling Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira jewelry. And just like at the BAFTAs, she partied into the night with her man and “stayed until the end with Joe,” an onlooker told PEOPLE. “She and Emma Stone were chatting up a storm. Taylor just stayed by Joe’s side the whole night.”

Taking after her actor beau, Swift is turning to the craft herself. She’s currently spending time in London where she’s filming the upcoming movie adaptation of the hit musical, Cats, where she’ll play the role of Bombalurina.

The 91st Academy Awards are broadcasting live from Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT on ABC.
