Taylor Swift Sent Folklore Cardigans to a Ton of Celebrities

Despite releasing Folklore in the middle of summer, Taylor Swift pretty much wrote the perfect album for rainy days, curled up in comfy clothes, sipping your coziest brand of tea. It’s no wonder Swift decided to make IRL cardigans (to match her new song “Cardigan”) and send them to some of her famous friends. (You can buy one here for $49.) 

“I hope this cardigan will keep you in these extremely uncozy times,” Swift wrote in a note attached to each parcel. “Sending you a socially distanced hug and all my love, Taylor.”

At this point it seems as if anyone who’s anyone received the piece of Folklore merch in the mail, along with the sweet note from Swift herself. Just ask Whitney Cummings, who was not sent the “cream cable knit cardigan with black matte buttons, dark gray trim, light gray star embroidery” in the mail. “Taylor Swift has not sent me a cardigan and frankly it’s hurtful,” she tweeted on July 25. Same.

So who is in Swift’s inner circle now? Or at least close enough with the singer to receive a P.R. gift in honor of her eighth studio-album-slash-masterpiece? I can’t give you the total number, but here are the celebs who’ve been spotted in her cardigan on social media.

“All of my folklore listening experiences have gone something like this,” the pop star wrote while jamming out to “Illicit Affairs” on Instagram Stories.

“Taylor. Swift. What an absolute wonder you are,” Swift’s best friend since high school wrote in the caption. “Your lyrical ability to move us is seismic. Jonathan Van Ness, Bobby Berk, and Tan France

“Caturday in my @taylorswift cardigan 🏳️‍🌈,” Queer Eye star JVN, who appeared in Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down” music video, wrote. Very on-brand. His costars Bobby Berk and Tan France also showed out.

Spencer Pratt has been a Taylor Swift Super Fan for years now—I’m so happy for him.
