It's time to go all the way back to 2009, because that's apparently the year John Mayer is stuck in based on his TikTok skills and Taylor Swift fans have noticed.

The singer decided to join the social media app, but showed off his struggles in this first post where he couldn't even flip the camera to show his face. Even when he figured it out, it's clear he doesn't know exactly when to cut things os we can hear what he's saying. But at least he is slowly getting there.

But the real interesting stuff is happening in his comments section where Taylor Swift fans seemed to have flocked to share some opinions.

"You're not safe here, John," wrote one user.

"We will never forget what you did to our girl Taylor," wrote another.

In his second video, John seems to join in on the fun by posting a video with the caption, "POV: You're berating me and I'm hearing you out."

Meanwhile, fans were still not having it in his comments section with one writing, "The girl in the dress cried the whole way home John. Think about that." Swifties will know that this is in reference to the song "Dear John" from Taylor's album Speak Now, which we've all probably cried along to at one point in our lives.

Despite everything, John seems to be having a bit of fun with everything. With a caption saying, "goodnight new friends," John posted a third video of him lip-syncing to a song that goes, "That was a weird day / That, that was a real weird day."

However, he wasn't even safe with that video with someone commenting, "We're not your friends, John." Yikes!

It's a little surprising to see him getting all this hate when he hasn't even mentioned her in any of his videos, but you also can't blame the Swifties for still calling him out all these years later. Hopefully, John is taking it all in stride and comes back for more TikTok fun soon.
