Taylor Swift Announces A Forthcoming Fashion Collaboration With Designer Stella McCartney

Taylor Swift is the mastermind of subliminal messages. She loves to sneak clues and messages into her content. So we weren’t exactly surprised when she announced on Instagram live yesterday that she would be collaborating with British designer Stella McCartney for a collection that corresponds with her new album, “Lover” that is set to release on August 23. And lo and behold, Taylor has actually been dropping hints about the collab by wearing Stella McCartney creations consistently for the last year.

The pair are a great match: Stella McCartney’s designs are pretty, but also head turning and unexpected. Just like Taylor. We can’t wait to see (and buy) everything they create together, but in the meantime, let’s take a look at our favorite TS x Stella McCartney looks.

An Influential Look:

In April, Taylor wore a pink tulle Stella McCartney dress for the Time 100 Most Influential People 2019 issue, which leads us to wonder, does that mean Stella McCartney made the list as well? The dress, like Taylor herself, was truly influential. Shawn Mendes wrote the ode to Taylor in the issue, writing, “Taylor makes the job of creating music for millions of people look easy. It all comes from her—her belief in magic and love, and her ability to be as honest and raw as possible.” That’s so sweet, we’re gushing.

Pumped up kicks:

The Stella McCartney airbrushed-rainbow sneakers perfectly matched Taylor’s colorfully fringed Wango Tango outfit (Happy Pride!!!). These sneakers could easily be “dressed-down” when paired with jeans and a basic white tee. We’ll have our eyes peeled to see if Taylor wears these kicks for a night on the town. Plus, during the Wango Tango meet-and-greet after her set, Taylor sported a more subdued Stella McCartney shoe with cute baby-blue platform sandals.

Singing the blues:

In February, Taylor skipped the Grammys to support her beau’s, Joe Alwyn, nominations at the BAFTA awards. How supportive! And who did she wear? None other than her fave designer, Stella McCartney. The flowy blue dress wouldn’t look out of place in the music video for her classic hit “Love Story”. She looked like a literal princess.

The Cat’s Out of the Bag:

Even Taylor’s cats are fans of the designer. Yes, that’s right. Taylor Swift’s cats have Stella McCartney pet carriers, which featured her signature gold-chain accents. And now my cat is glaring at me in jealousy. But alas, the $2,000 cat carrier is currently sold out.
