Tarte's New Maracuja Juicy Lip Trios Completely Sold Out Within a Week of Launching

It's almost impossible to predict which beauty launches are going to be so in-demand that a new product is inevitably going to sell out — and fast. But there are definitely a few factors that hint at a potential smash hit. A lip product that's part color, part treatment? Sounds good. A formula years in the making? Curiosity piqued. A beloved brand? Sold. And in the case of Tarte's new Maracuja Juicy Lip Trios, sold out.

Tarte launched the Maracuja Juicy Lip Trios exclusively on QVC last Friday, June 26, and in less than a week, every unit of the three-piece sets — all 20,000 of them — went to loving forever homes. And it's easy to see why. 

After five years — five! — in development, Tarte revealed that its latest marajuca-centric lip product is also packed with grapeseed, goji, açai, acerola, pomegranate, watermelon, strawberry, blueberry, peach, cranberry, and vitamin E to create a moisturizing, smoothing tinted balm that melts into skin, makes it look plumper, and gives it an irresistibly glossy touch of color. 

There are two versions of the Maracuja Juicy Lip Trios. Berrylicious (above) features the shades Strawberry, Watermelon, and Hibiscus, and Soft Pinks (below) comes with Rose, Raspberry, and — ironically — Clear.

More shades of this new lip product will be launching on Tarte's website later this month, but you don't have to wait if you want one of the trios. They may have sold out, but QVC just restocked, and they're ready for you to order your own for $35 per set (a $57 value).
