Target has landed a number of prestigious designer collaborations in recent years, most of which have been incredibly successful for the retailer.

The latest? An upcoming collaboration with high-end designer Victoria Beckham, which was revealed on Thursday to the delight of fashionistas worldwide.

The highly anticipated collection is slated to launch on April 9, 2017. It will feature more than 200 pieces for women, girls, and toddlers in a wide range of sizes, priced from $6 to $70.

The move shows the designer is interested in connecting with a broader range of customers, as Target is known for its affordability and accessibility. At present Beckham’s current line is mostly stocked in high-end department stores like Barneys New York, Neiman Marcus, and Web retailer Net-a-Porter.

“I can reach so many more women through working with Target. It’s not just because of the price point but because of how many stores that they have, located all around America,” Beckham told Business of Fashion. “These are women that I haven’t been able to reach out to in the past, and I always say that I want to empower women and make women look like the best versions of themselves. That shouldn’t be only people who can afford to spend a certain amount of money.”

Victoria Beckham for Target is inspired by the designer’s eponymous Victoria, Victoria Beckham line and marks the British designer’s first children’s apparel venture.

“Working with Target has been a really exciting process, and this partnership allows us to share the essence of Victoria, Victoria Beckham with more people than ever before,” said Victoria Beckham in a press release. “I was inspired to create the Victoria, Victoria Beckham line when I was pregnant with Harper, and since its launch, the category has evolved into an established lifestyle collection. With both the line and my daughter turning five, I felt it was the perfect time to extend into a more accessible price point and to celebrate both milestones by opening the range up to include childrenswear for the first time.”

Victoria Beckham joins the ranks of top-tier designers like Prabal Gurung, Zac Posen, Phillip Lim, Missoni, and Alexander McQueen, who have all launched collaborations with the retailer. Beckham is well known for being extremely particular when choosing retailers to collaborate with, so this is a huge win for Target.

Customers were thrilled by the announcement and took to Twitter to note their excitement.

Big things are in store for the British designer, as Victoria Beckham also launched its worldwide makeup collaboration with Estée Lauder earlier this month. The collection was met with rave reviews and sold out in many stores almost immediately within the first days of its launch.

Target is likely hoping this collection will be met with great success, especially since its designer collaboration with Finnish designer Marimekko earlier this year was not as popular as some of its designer partnerships in past years.
