Anyone who has had Barcel USA’s Takis Fuego Chips knows the serious heat they pack. The “bite of lava,” as they’re described, contain hot chili pepper and lime to deliver a flavor that is equal parts delicious and extreme. Now imagine those elements in a sweet lollipop, because it exists from the company’s Vero brand.
The treat starts with a chamoy-flavored lollipop (chamoy is a Mexican condiment that is made with fruit, like apricot, mango, or plum, chiles, and lime juice). What makes the candy even more special is that you dip the red lollipop into the provided chili powder, so you can control just how much heat you get. It’s the sweet-spicy combination that will really take your taste buds on a rollercoaster!
While the reimagined rolled chip is not new, we’re sure it’s new to plenty of eyes out there. At the very least, this is your reminder that Takis Fuego Lollipops are a thing and are unlike candy you’re used to at the checkout line. The good news is that you can find Takis Fuego Lollipops at different retailers, including Dollar General as Instagram account @foodiewiththebeasts spotted. The candy is also available on Amazon.
Each bag comes in a pack of three, so there will be plenty of hot candy to go around! Just don’t say we didn’t warn you about the heat aspect of the lollipops.
