It takes 2 'DWTS' dancers to salsa with 7' 2" Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

The creative juices were flowing on Dancing with the Stars when Lindsay Arnold came up with some clever salsa choreography to dance with her partner, 7-foot 2-inch Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Arnold is only 5 feet 6 inches, so she needed a boost from a touring dancer named Hayley Erbert. With Arnold atop her shoulder, Erbert danced in perfect rhythm while wearing heels!

The duo split into two after about 20 seconds, but Arnold called Erbert the “real MVP,” and host Bergeron gave her a shoutout before getting feedback from the judges.

The main couple received a total of 26 from the four judges. Len Goodman said, “The salsa is a party dance. You have brought the party to the ballroom. Well done.”

Despite the rave reviews, the couple was eliminated at the end of the night. Even though he didn’t take home the mirror-ball trophy, Abdul-Jabbar will hopefully find comfort in the fact he is the highest-scoring player in NBA history.

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC. Watch clips and full episodes of Dancing With the Stars for free on Yahoo View.
