A University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student is fighting a vandalism citation after ripping up a swastika sign on campus.
A university spokesperson called the symbol "fraught with such a troubling message" given its ties to the Nazi Party.
The Massachusetts man says that neighbors who object to the symbols are "Taking it out of context."
Steve Johnson installed a huge, black concrete swastika symbol in his front yard in El Sobrante, Calif., and some community members are upset.
The teens alerted a police office that they saw a body in the water. The police officer who rescued the man later told them he had a swastika tattoo on his hand.
The man was caught out after he sent the offensive image to a former Marine who reported it and told him not to "send me Nazi s***."
