The 37-year-old singer has been open about her struggle with depression in the past and even revealed on "The Talk" last October that she was at one time suicidal.
At the opening of Louis Vuitton's art exhibition, everyone wore designs from LV's spring 2018 runway, and Alexander Skarsgård debuted a bald hairstyle.
Busy Philipps just gave Michelle Williams a pretty amazing birthday gift that took #FriendshipGoals to the next level.
Kendall Jenner and Nicki Minaj both turned heads in super-revealing looks this week. And that’s not all that happened: Curvy Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Hunter McGrady stole the spotlight at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in a barely-there leather bondage look, while Pharrell showed up at the Chanel show in his PJs (well, almost). Watch Yahoo Style’s Joe Zee round up his favorite looks of the week and pit them head-to-head to see who will emerge as the winner in this week’s edition of Knockout Style.
That’s what best friends are for! Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps have been tight since their Dawson’s Creek days, and that bond has only grown stronger since the sudden 2008 death of Heath Ledger. Williams’s best gal gamely became her date at awards shows (her list of noms is extensive), which the Manchester by the Sea actress had often attended with Ledger, her daughter’s father. While Michelle has had boyfriends since Heath, a decade later Busy is still her go-to plus-one as her nomination list grows. Their friendship is sweet and inspiring, but also hella real and silly too.
The 74th Annual Golden Globes kicked off award season with a bang Sunday night. At the first award show of 2017, many celebs chose to depart from the typical red carpet look. Everything from menswear-inspired suits to borderline wedding gowns made an appearance.
When it comes to red carpet dressing, Cate Blanchett loves to take risks—something she made all the more clear on the press junket circuit while promoting her latest film, Truth. At a recent screening in Los Angeles, the Oscar-winning Aussie chose a white knit Proenza Schouler dress with a high neck and bare shoulders, fresh off the New York runway—paired with crisscrossed Louboutin pumps, an easy updo, and glowing makeup. But she wasn’t the only star with an eye for Proenza this week: Fargo’s leading lady, Kirsten Dunst, showed up to the Season 2 premiere of the hit FX show wearing a sleeveless, olive green leather dress with ruffled hem, also by the label. From Zendaya’s sleek, minimalist Elizabeth and James dress to Lily-Rose Depp’s shoulder-baring, technicolor Chanel top, here are the rest of this week’s best dressed.
Hurrah, the final day of Fashion Month is here! And what better way to go out with a bang than the Louis Vuitton show, one of the most influential collections of every season. On this sunny Wednesday morning, artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière filled the Frank Gehry-designed Louis Vuitton Foundation with 32 tons of high definition screens — making you feel as though you were inside a video game, or as the designer referenced it, “a multi-dimensional digital canvas for a fantasy world.” They projected images of owls, digital motifs, and as the show started, a man talking in a robotic tone about unleashing the potential of your imagination. It was a trippy start (especially sans coffee), although there was nothing virtual about the impressive front row that included Catherine Deneuve, Grimes, Michelle Williams, Alicia Vikander, Kelela, Adèle Exarchopoulos and many more.
Paris Fashion Week might be all about the clothes on the runway, but it's also partly about the celebrities in them as well. Louis Vuitton's show on Wednesday, the last day of a long Fashion Month, brought out a particularly well dressed set. Selena Gomez showed up for her first show in the City of Light wearing an uncharcteristically polished and conservative look; Kim Kardashian went with her husband in a more covered-up outfit than she's worn in 2015 (and maybe ever); and Michelle Williams made a case for starring in a Woodstock sequel. The runway was all about lace and peplums, but the front row says the '60s are back.
Good luck to anyone who wants to wear a marigold colored gown on the red carpet—ever. Because nearly a decade after Michelle Williams wore that ruffled, burnt yellow Vera Wang to the Oscars the year she was nominated for Brokeback Mountain, we’re still drawing comparisons. Blue is the Warmest Color actress Lea Seydoux wore a custom Prada gown in the same canary-like shade with cut outs on the side. Seydoux walked the red carpet with fellow Bond girl Monica Bellucci (they’re currently filming the next 007 installment Spectre).
