Starbucks Copycat Alert! Make a Coffee-free Caramel-Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino™

Tall, grande or venti - you can't go wrong.

I do love to go to Starbucks a lot and sometimes we go together with the whole family. When we do, we get the small pre-packaged flavored milk for the kids because thy're little and we don't want to spend so much on a huge drink that they might not drink entirely. And I have to admit, Starbucks has the yummiest drinks with coffee, don't you think? I mean, just reading the name of this caramel drink makes you want to try that ribbon of crunch! But some people don't like coffee and kids can't drink coffee at all, so for when we are at home I re-created the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino for the kids or for anybody that doesn't like coffee. It's like a dessert because it has candy, but it is a delight to have - kids or adults will love it!!

Caramel-Ribbon Crunch Mock Frappuccino™

Ingredients

1 cup of whole milk
2 cups of ice
3 tablespoons of caramel coffee flavor syrup
3 tablespoons of caramel syrup (thick syrup)
Whipped cream (optional)
Caramel candy (hard candy, about 5 or more)
A resealable plastic bag

Directions

1. Take the candies out of the wrapper and place them inside the plastic bag. Seal the bag, then hit them with a kitchen mallet until you get little pieces. Save them. Tip: Do this right before you make the drink because if they sit for too long they'll stick back together again!

2. Pour the milk, the ice and both syrups into a blender.

3. Mix well until the drink feels frappé style. If it's too light, add more ice, and vice versa. If it seems stuck in the blender and won't mix, add a little bit more milk.

4. Pour into glasses and add whipped cream.

5. Add the broken pieces of candy on top and enjoy!
