Three things you might be surprised to know about Khloe Kardashian:

  1. Mascara is her makeup must-have. She can't live without it!

  2. She always applies mascara herself. Even when a makeup artist is on hand. This girl knows how she likes her lashes.

  3. While sisters Kim and Kourtney are all about eyelash strips, Khloe just finds them downright irritating.

How'd I get the inside scoop on this Kardashian's beauty faves? Last Friday, I was lucky enough to meet the X-Factor host herself at an event for Khroma Beauty, the cosmetics line that she launched with Kim and Kourtney.

Khloe was refreshingly down to earth, and exactly as she is on TV: a fab, funny girl who isn't afraid to say what's on her mind. And if you think she and her sisters simply lent their famous names to the collection, think again! The girls were involved in everything: the colors, the packaging, even the logo, which is based on a drawing of Kim's.

The Khroma Beauty collection is packed with all of the products you need to get gorgeous - powder, mascara, eyeshadow, lip color, blush, falsies, bronzer, illuminator and more. The trio even developed handy dandy makeup sets: a nude lip kit, 3 'all-in-one' face palettes (called Kardazzle Compacts, obviously.), lash sets that come perfectly paired with shadow, even a suite of 4 different mascaras. (Yep, that one was Khloe's baby. A Stroke Of Midnight is her favorite formula.)

Part of what I love about Khroma Beauty is while it won't push your bank account into the red, the sisters didn't sacrifice quality. The face powder feels like "wet silk" (Khloe's makeup artist used that phrase, and I just had to steal it!), the lip products smell and taste like honey, the signature face mask contains real gold flecks, and the shadows and lip lacquers are richly pigmented.

Khloe herself admitted that she feels blessed to have access to celebrity beauty experts on the daily, and she wants to be able to pass her knowledge on to other glam girls. She has a passion for makeup and says this cosmetics line is a dream come true for her. She was a total doll.

The Khroma Beauty collection of products will be available beginning November 2012 at CVS, ULTA, and Sears stores nationwide. Prices range from $6.49-$19.99.
