Zac Posen "received blind measurements from Vogue" and knew the person wearing his dress would be shot by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz, but he didn’t know who it would be.
In lieu of a traditional NYFW runway show or presentation this season, Zac Posen has opted to launch a dreamy set of imagery for his new spring-summer 2019 collection.

Talk to any fashion insider and they'll tell you: Edna Mode is an icon. The ultra-chic superhero costume designer from Pixar's The Incredibles returns this June for Incredibles 2 , and to hear the fashion elite — like Vogue 's Andre Leon Talley and model Kendall Jenner — tell it, she's still industry royalty. As Jenner puts it, "She's a visionary, a giant – I mean, well, not literally. She comes up to my knees." (Weirdly, Pixar released a very similar video last summer, featuring interview clips from what are apparently the same chats featured in this new video.)
If there was any doubt that the bond between Paris Jackson and her brother Prince is strong, they proved they were tighter than ever last night. The siblings attended the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation and mothers2mothers dinner in Beverly Hills hand in hand.
Paris Jackson, 18, is getting political. On Friday, designer Jeremy Scott posted an Instagram photo of her wearing a T-shirt that read: “Our voice is the only thing that will protect us.”
Actress Claire Danes at the Met Gala wore a show-stopping glow-in-the-dark Zac Posen gown that has inspired some women to wear wedding dresses that light up.
The front row during fashion week is often times more glamorous that the catwalk itself. Celebs, socialites, and industry insiders are strategically placed in seats along the runway, not only so they can have the best view of the collection, but also so the rest of us (and the many photographers) can have the best view of them. We’ve rounded up our favorite front row beauty looks from fashion week. Click through to see everyone from Kylie Jenner to Bella Thorne.
Photo: @caitlynjenner/Instagram With Caitlyn Jenner’s status as a style star—and LGBTQ rights activist—fast on the rise, it seemed inevitable that the former Olympian-turned-reality TV regular would be situated front row at the biggest shows of New York Fashion Week. Her daughter Kendall is now a bona fide fixture on the runway, and her stepdaughter, Kim Kardashian, son-in-law Kanye West, and youngest daughter, Kylie, have all made appearances at shows this season. The fashion world was waiting with bated selfie sticks—but five days in, there was still no Jenner. But maybe—JUST maybe—all was not lost! Rumor had it that Jenner would be making an appearance at Zac Posen’s spring 2016 show, taking place at Grand Central Station Monday evening. I felt a bolt of excitement and anticipation run through me as I walked past the mobs of celeb-watchers, American Express card carriers, and protesters (why?) outside Grand Central and into the cavernous Vanderbilt Hall.
The urgent clack-clack on pavement can mean only one thing: Fashion Week is here. From the models to the shows, the designers to the parties, Yahoo Style has all the dirt on where to go, who to see and, most important, what to Instagram (including the first ever Insta-only fashion show!). From the special 10-year anniversaries of Alexander Wang, Riccardo Tisci, and Phillip Lim — and what it means from a numerology POV —to the musical chairs at Brooks Brothers (Zac Posen) and DKNY (Public School), we have a rundown on everything that matters this Fashion Week.
It’s no surprise that supermodel turned actress Cara Delevingne is wearing her best threads for the press tour for her first feature film, "Paper Towns." She particularly shined at the New York premiere in a silver embellished cutout dress by Saint Laurent. Katie Holmes was also seen in the Big Apple wearing a metallic silver long-sleeved top paired with pleated leather culottes by Zac Zac Posen. The designer was also represented this week at the dinner he cohosted this week with Yahoo Style for the women of "Pixels." The film's star, Michelle Monaghan, rocked a bright red-orange short suit of his making.
“I did enjoy those older games,” Stewart admitted, “but what I really liked was [the science fiction role play game] Myst—remember Myst? Why am I playing a video game about running a farm… when I actually run a farm? “There’s burrata, wild sea bass, and Amish chicken,” Stewart shared, to the delight of diners like Iman, Grace Bol, and Laura Love—all of whom proved that models do eat… at least when America’s domestic goddess gets involved.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus wears a red Zac Posen gown as President Selina Meyer in season 4 of Veep. For better or worse, it’s a topic that will likely surface during Hillary Clinton’s campaign—and, if all goes well, her presidency. In fact, it’s a misnomer now: the show’s title character, Selina Meyer, dropped the “Vice” from her title at the end of last season, under somewhat dubious circumstances, making her the first female President of the United States.
Rihanna, Naomi Campbell & a Twirler Came Out for Zac Posen Grand Central Station has never been so glam. Zac Posen closed off a part of New York City’s railway hub to exhibit off his Fall/Winter 2015 collection and while commuters probably weren’t happy with the disruption, the presentation certainly made its packed crowd smile. Celebrities including Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, Katie Holmes, and Uzo Adubo were sitting front row. All were wearing black and maroon, and very intently watched as the clothes came by their seats. 2. Kesha and Abigail Breslin are basically twins. Head-to-toe black, platinum hair, and a cat-eye are the It-girl uniform of choice. 3.
Matching your dress to the carpet never gets old! Lena Dunham matched her shoes, lipstick, and dress, in a cherry red Zac Posen (that we predicted). Her fellow Girl, Alison Williams, wore Armani Prive, while Helen Mirren and Jane Fonda jazzed up their gowns with plenty of sparkle. But we want to know who you think wore red best—vote below!
Matching lips and nails at Carolina Herrera’s SS15 show. Designer after designer has shown off their spring collections on models with bare faces, without mascara, blush, nail polish, or even much going on hair-wise. Keri Blair used two coats of Studio Nail Lacquer in Shirelle ($12) with a topcoat of Studio Overlacquer ($12) to give the models’ nails an identical cherry glaze. Carolina Herrera’s show also featured red dresses, lipstick, and nails.
