Last week, Rihanna launched her highly-anticipated Fenty fashion house with LVMH. For her release event, the Fenty frontwoman wore her hair in burgundy box braids. It was the first time in a while we've seen RiRi with red hair since her 2010 Loud era, and we were reminded that crimson is, indeed, her color.Although the singer is notorious for continually switching out her style, it looks like Rihanna is rocking with her updated hair color. She attended the 2019 BET Awards with her burgundy hair tied up in a wavy half-up half down style done by her longtime stylist Yusef.Naturally, we weren't the only ones excited to see the singer rocking burgundy hair again. Her "Navy" also quickly freaked out on Twitter and began cooking up theories that new music from the singer is on the way.> Rihanna changes her hair color when she’s about to drop an album pic.twitter.com/1P3xC2gUC3> > — Ashlee (@BuryMeInChanel_) June 24, 2019> Last time @rihanna was at the betawards20 with that hair color and a stack of money to release a snippet. Rihanna is no stranger to making bold statements, and her latest one comes in the form of an Instagram post aimed squarely at President Donald Trump. The singer debuted her second collection for Fenty on June 18, which paid tribute to immigrants like herself with a special T-shirt featuring the origin and definition of the word immigrant on it. Posing with that shirt and a diverse group of women, Rihanna posted a photo to Instagram with a caption that simply read, “hey [waving emoji] @realdonaldtrump.”Rihanna’s message came shortly after Trump announced via Twitter that he would delay the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deportation raids for two weeks so Democrats and Republicans could "get together and work out a solution" on the enforcement of his administration’s immigration policy. The deportations were originally set to begin this weekend and would affect at least 2,000 migrant families, according to CNN.> View this post on Instagram> > hey 👋🏿 @realdonaldtrump> > A post shared by badgalriri (@badgalriri) on Jun 22, 2019 at 12:35pm PDTRihanna told The Cut she is “prideful” about being an immigrant, and noted that the world tends to forget that she comes from a background similar to those of the people the Trump administration is ready to deport without a care in the world."Wherever I go, except for Barbados, I’m an immigrant. I think people forget that a lot of times. I think they see Rihanna the brand,” she said. “But I think it’s important for people to remember, if you love me, everyone out here is just like me. A million Rihannas out there, getting treated like dirt."Wonder if Trump will remember that the next time he tries to play a Rihanna song at a rally while rambling about building a wall.Like what you see? While plenty of celebrities have the kind of influence and following to set a breakout haircut trend, Rihanna remains one of those rare celebs that has enough star power to launch a nail-art craze with a single Instagram post. Just last month, a bevy of copycats hopped on the bandwagon almost instantaneously after she rocked jade nails. Rihanna is always one to keep things interesting — and she's now decided to remix that jade manicure a bit with new lavender jade art shared on her Instagram Story.
