Taco Bell’s Learning Lab is cooking up a couple of new dishes that incorporates cheddar cheese, so you know they have to be good. The test kitchen is trying out new Crispy Cheese Dippers and Crispy Cheese Nacho Fries, and you might be lucky enough to try them.

The Crispy Cheese Dippers are a twist on traditional cheese curds. They’re made of real cheddar cheese curds that are rolled in a tortilla chip coating and crisped to be golden, as described in press materials. The poppable bite is also available in the Crispy Cheese Nacho Fries, which consist of the beloved Nacho Fries that are topped with the cheese curds, warm nacho cheese sauce, chipotle sauce, sour cream, and diced tomatoes. Consider our order placed.

Taco Bell is serving up the Crispy Cheese Dippers in a 9-piece order that comes with chipotle sauce for dipping for $2.99. The Crispy Cheese Nacho Fries are also $2.99. The only catch here is that since these are test items, there’s a very limited availability for now. Taco Bell fans in Southern California can head to the restaurant at E. Orangethorpe Ave. in Fullerton through March 10 to get the new items while supplies last.

As with any test innovation, there’s no guarantee that these will eventually make it to menus nationwide, so let’s hope they do super well. Taco Bell teased that these aren’t the only test items this year, so it looks like 2021 may shape up to be quite tasty.
