Update, April 28, 2020: Hello, how's it going? Just jumping in to remind you that you can once again get your choice of Doritos Locos Taco (Flamin' Hot or Nacho Cheese, that is) for absolutely free at the Taco Bell drive-thru today. No, this isn't deja vu, this is real life!

Update, April 21, 2020: Taco Bell is ONCE AGAIN offering free Doritos Locos Tacos for drive-thru orders today, April 21 (it is Taco Tuesday, after all!). But this time, there is a new taco in town! You can choose between a Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco or a Flamin' Hot Doritos Locos Taco—either one will come totally free.

Like last week, you can also score this via delivery, but unlike last week, you can also pick up the chain's new Wild Strawberry Freeze...you'll have to pay for that one though.

Update, April 14, 2020: Taco Bell is back to brighten up our days by adding free Doritos Locos Tacos to drive-thru orders. The promotion is returning on April 14 (that's today, in case you've stopped keeping track!), but from the looks of it, there's a chance the chain will offer it again soon if you won't be able to claim your free taco before the end of the day.

Nacho cheese Doritos Locos Tacos will come free with your order if you ask for it, but Taco Bell has also been spotted selling Flamin' Hot Doritos Locos Tacos in some locations. So if you're lucky, you can get a Flamin' Hot taco with a side of free food. Done and done!

Quick reminder: Taco Bell is also fulfilling delivery orders, although its dining rooms are closed as a safety precaution.

Update, April 7, 2020: Taco Bell is extending its free Doritos Locos Tacos promotion to this Tuesday, April 7. The free taco can be claimed at the drive-thru, but if you'd rather stay home and get delivery, Taco Bell's party packs are probably the option for you.

Taco Bell party packs come with 12 crunchy or soft tacos and burritos that can all be customized exactly to your liking. Ordering a party pack will also get you past the minimum needed for free delivery, so it's a great at home option. Stay safe, everyone—and get those tacos!

Original Post, March 30, 2020: Taco Bell is still working to serve customers with drive-thru and delivery orders. As an added bonus for those who order at the drive-thru, the chain is giving out free Doritos Locos Tacos tomorrow.

Taco Bell has been keeping customers updated on the ways they are adjusting their policies to provide for people in their communities. Free Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos will be available on Tuesday, March 31 at participating locations, but this is just a small portion of what the taco joint is doing during this time.

For one, the Taco Bell Foundation is donating $1 million to No Kid Hungry, and organization that aims to help end child hunger in America. The "round up" program will also be implemented at stores so customers can benefit No Kid Hungry. When you order, you'll be asked if you want to round up your total to the next dollar, and the difference will go to No Kid Hungry as well.

Along with this, Taco Bell recognizes the individuals who are working on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis. Many Taco Bell restaurants are functioning as drive-thru only at the moment, meaning ambulance and truck drivers cannot easily pull through and order if need be. The chain is looking to find a solution for this, and will be serving other essential workers like healthcare workers, teachers, and grocery store employees by turning their Taco Trucks into mobile commissaries.

Taco Bell has also extended its free delivery offer through GrubHub for all orders $12 and up. On its website, Taco Bell ensures that they are staying up to date with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and will be changing their policies and offers as needed.
