Have you ever tried to Google a song that’s been stuck in your head? Unless you caught some lyrics, an artist name, or the song title, it can be very difficult. Well, there’s a place on the internet specifically on Reddit that wants to help you out. The subreddit r/tipofmytongue is suited for that specific need of trying to figure out that tune stuck in your head that’s just itching to be let out.

Here’s how it works. Click on submit a question and the tag [TOMT] (tip of my tongue) will already be provided for you. Then tag your media type in this case [Song]. Next you’ll want to write out your title something to grab a reader’s attention. Maybe include what era the song is from or where you heard it (a commercial, store, radio station etc). In the body of your post, you can go into more detail about the track that’s been nagging away in your head and link to any sources that may help a user identify the song.

When your case is hopefully solved do not forget to mark it as so: “Simply reply “Solved!” or “TOMT Solved” in a comment on your thread to mark it solved. It is preferred that you reply to the comment which gives the answer, but anywhere in the thread works.

Next time you have a song on the tip of your tongue, go to this gem of a subreddit for help.
