It's only March, but Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney might've just dropped what could be one of *thee* most iconic celeb collaborations of the entire year.
Remember the Euphoria scene (pssst — Season 2 Episode 4) where Cassie power-strutted down the stairs to seduce Nate Jacobs in a strappy one-piece that looked a whole lot like something Maddy would've worn? Hundreds of fans searched for her 🔥🔥 swimsuit and ended up on a 500-person waitlist for the sold-out $180 Gemma Wrap One Piece Swimsuit from Frankies Bikinis within 24 hours of the episode airing.
Now, you'll be getting even sexier Euphoria-inspired swimsuit goodness thanks to Sydney Sweeney's latest adventure — trying her hand at designing bathing suits. The actress tells Elle that she met up with Frankies Bikini founder Francesca Aiello after the iconic on-screen moment "sparkled the conversation," and the two began to brainstorm ideas and create mood boards together.
"I immediately envisioned a collaboration for Sydney to create pieces that truly embody her gorgeous femininity, her bombshell romantic aura, not to mention her numerous talents," said Aiello in a press release.
Sydney explained some of the behind-the-scenes details of the design process for her collection, which includes a white ruffle string bikini, black lace, whimsical cherry prints, mint green embroidery on a triangle top, and a lip print one-piece designed from Sydney's actual kiss marks.
"I was coating on different shades of red lipstick and kissing paper and sending pics to Francesca," she explained. "It was this funny back and forth about how much my lips should be parted or [how much] color [I should apply], so my bathroom became covered with pages of my lipstick marks."
The actress wants people to feel good in her suits, as she tells Elle, "I’m in Australia now filming, and wearing my pieces almost everyday. It’s the perfect place: beach, hot, sunny, and romantic!" Sydney continued, "I think it’s powerful to show the world you are unapologetically yourself. We wanted pieces that made people feel confident and free in their bodies."
She's telling the truth — Sydney has been making the most of her work trip Down Under by catching a few rays whenever she can. She sported the brown embroidered bikini from her collection (the Tia Triangle Top and the Dawson Bottoms, if you were hoping to snag it) on her Instagram story, writing, "Soaking up this aussie sun ☀️." The "Euphoria" star also wore gold-rimmed sunnies to shield her eyes and a delicate pearl necklace.
