Every once in a while, there's a show that captures our hearts and becomes our "comfort show." That's exactly what happened when Netflix premiered its latest Southern drama Sweet Magnolias.
The TV series first premiered in 2020 and now it's official — we're headed back to Serenity. Netflix officially announced that the hit show will be returning for a season 3. Actress Joanna Garcia Swisher, who plays Maddie Townsend, shared the exciting news with fans on Instagram with the caption, "We are back! Season 3 of Sweet Magnolias is happening! 🌸💐."

When is the Sweet Magnolias season 3 release date?
Season 2 was released in February 2022, but we have to wait a bit longer for season 3. Netflix confirmed that the 10-episode season will drop on July 20, 2023.
Who will be in the Sweet Magnolias cast for season 3?
As far as we know, fans can expect the entire cast to return for the upcoming season and pick right back up from where we ended in season 2. So, that means JoAnna Garcia Swisher as Maddie Townsend, Brooke Elliot as Dana Sue Sullivan and Heather Headley as Helen Decatur will definitely be on our screens.
