Will there be a Surviving Summer season 2? Here's everything you need to know
If you're in the mood for summer (who isn't?) then Netflix has got just the ticket: new teen drama Surviving Summer.
The series is the perfect backdrop to all of our travel daydreams, following rebellious New York teenager Summer Torres as she's expelled from school and sent to live with family friends in a tiny town in Australia. Hey, things could be worse, right? After arriving in Aus, Summer finds a new love for surfing, while also becoming intertwined with a group of locals.
There's plenty of love, laughter and rivalry to boot, and viewers are already obsessed with Summer and the gang. But there's one crucial question: will we be getting Surviving Summer season two?

Has Surviving Summer season two been confirmed?
Unfortunately, a season two for Surviving Summer hasn't been announced by Netflix just yet. Still, season one only came to the platform on 3rd June, so there's still time for Netflix to share any S2 updates.
The series has also landed in Netflix's top 10, so here's hoping Netflix will treat fans to more! However, despite the fact that fans are keen for more instalments, season one did wrap up each character's storyline pretty nicely, so we'd need new plots to emerge if season two goes ahead.
When is Surviving Summer season two expected to be released?
We'll have to wait for a second series to be confirmed before we'll have any intel on a release date, but we'll be watching this space!
Season one dropped on Netflix on 3rd June so, taking into account production time and the show's err summery subject matter, we'd expect to see a second series premiering around spring/summer 2023.
Who will star in Surviving Summer season two?
The cast for season two would depend on what happens and where the series takes place. Still, we'd hope to see the show's five main cast members coming back for more. So, that's: Sky Katz as Summer Torres, Kai Lewins as Ari Gibson, Lilliana Bowrey as Poppy Tetanui, Joao Gabriel Marinho as Marlon Sousa, and Savannah La Rain as Bodhi Johnson.
