Imagine how different the entertainment industry would be if Finn Wolfhard hadn't become an overnight success as Mike Wheeler on Stranger Things. Thankfully, he did, and we've been obsessed with him ever since. Since he shot to stardom, Finn went on to be in huge projects, such as both IT movies, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and The Goldfinch. He's also an accomplished musician.

The 19-year-old Capricorn is killing it and has proven he is a versatile performer. So, if you need a break from constantly wondering what to expect for the final season of Stranger Things (because we know you have a LOT of questions), check out these fun facts about our favorite A.V. Club kid.

During an episode of Netflix's Beyond Stranger Things, we got to see some of the kids' audition tapes. Recording from what looked like his bedroom, Finn adorably said he was sick, right before he started the self-tape audition.

Finn may still be super young, but his net worth is estimated to be $4 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. He makes around $250,000 per Stranger Things episode. The rest of the Stranger Things cast is just as wealthy.

He was rumored to be dating fellow actor Elsie Richter

When it comes to his dating life, Finn prefers to keep that offline. Although he hasn't officially confirmed who he's dating (if anyone), social media fan pages, such as @elsiepearlsupdate, posted a photo from Finn's Instagram story with Elsie, who he was rumored to be dating in 2021. You can check out the rest of the Stranger Things stars' relationship statuses here.

He's been romantically linked to his co-star, Millie Bobby Brown

While Millie is currently dating Jake Bongiovi (and has a marriage pact with co-star Noah Schnapp if they're both single when they're 40) she and Finn were linked together by Noah back in 2020.

On Instagram, Noah happened upon a meme asking to "tag two people that want to hook up with each other to make things awkward." Well, Noah took the opportunity to (jokingly??) tag Millie and Finn.

Before he was Mike on Stranger Things, Finn appeared on one episode of The 100 as Zoran, an outcast who was born with a facial deformity.

Prior to Stranger Things skyrocketing him to fame, Finn appeared on a season 11 episode of Supernatural in 2015 about Lizzie Borden.

In 2016, he shared a throwback pic from the episode, captioning it, "#fbf to that time @jaredpadalecki Winchester had me "escorted" off SPN because - HE says - he already HAD a stand-in! This photo doesn't show it well at all but we are actually the exact same height, plus we have almost the same hair - and my last name even starts with a W. I just don't get it... (Seriously, though, Jared and @jensenackles are truly inspiring - and #spnfamily is the best)."

He gave Millie Bobby Brown her very first kiss

“[Kissing Finn on the set of Stranger Things season 1] was my first kiss," Millie told Studio 10 in 2017. "It was weird, but it was fine… Finn is one of my closest friends and I love him. I don’t want to kiss a stranger, so kissing Finn was easy! It sounds so weird to say. Finn's a great guy.”

He's allegedly the only person who knows what the Stranger Things spin-off is about

"We do have an idea for a spinoff that we’re super excited about … but we haven’t told anyone the idea yet, much less written it," the Duffer Brothers wrote in an email to Variety in 2022. "We think everyone — including Netflix — will be surprised when they hear the concept, because it’s very, very different. But somehow Finn Wolfhard — who is one crazy smart kid — correctly guessed what it was going to be about. But aside from Finn, no one else knows!"

He's making his directorial debut

In July 2022, Deadline reported Finn and actor Billy Bryk — who co-starred in Ghostbusters: Afterlife — are writing and directing a new horror-comedy movie titled Hell of a Summer. The plot is currently being kept secret, but IMDb posted the cast list on their website. On August 10, 2022, Finn revealed on his Instagram the production had wrapped.

From 2017-2019, Finn was lead vocals and rhythm guitar for the Canadian indie rock band, Calpurnia. In 2019, Finn became one-half of the indie-pop duo, The Aubreys.

Speaking to Alternative Press in 2020, Finn shared one of the biggest reasons Calpurnia didn't last was that they "had to tour in order to make the label money." Finn's acting schedule made touring "really hard to do."

Moreover, Finn revealed during a Wired Autocomplete Interview in 2019 that he can play the piano, guitar, bass, drums, and "kind of" the harmonica.

Finn looks so much like his older brother, Nick Wolfhard. It's the hair!

Also during that Wired Autocomplete Interview, Finn shared he plans to get a tattoo of his brother's name.

He played football as a kid

In 2020, he shared a precious throwback pic on Instagram of baby Finn in his football attire. He captioned the photo, "@seahawks here if you need me."
