Supporters of Fenty Beauty Wrote Thank You Letters to Rihanna

“You made inclusivity cool.”

Fenty Beauty has made serious waves in the beauty industry. In just one year as a beauty line, Rihanna's cosmetics company has changed the game, launching products celebrated for their inclusivity. It's safe to say that the beauty world loves Fenty, and a number of its supporters, fans, and admirers shared their admiration for all things Fenty Beauty in a series of love letters shared in Allure.

For her role as Allure's October cover star, Rihanna received a warm welcome from some of Fenty Beauty's biggest supporters. Her dazzling pictorial, which featured Rihanna donning Fenty Beauty, was accompanied by five thank-you letters from "fans" including Slick Woods, Ashley C. Ford, and makeup brand founder Cynde Watson.

In her letter, Slick had a #TBT moment and touched on the first time she ever met the Fenty Beauty founder. "I always thought your sh*t was made for me, and I wanted nothing more than to model for you, so hearing that I was cast in your show had me ecstatic," she wrote. "That you continued to use me was just surreal — business turned family real quick."

Slick continued, sharing how Rihanna's approach to beauty was "revolutionary." "You made inclusivity cool, and that’s revolutionary," she said. "Now people are putting money toward inclusion, rather than putting money toward a certain supremacy. It’s a beautiful switch in pace." Slick's letter also comes just days after she reportedly went into labor following her walk down the Savage X Fenty runway.

Cynde Watson also touched on Fenty Beauty's impact, saying, "I truly commend your fearlessness and passion to continue the amazing fight to normalize inclusivity in the beauty industry. I credit you for breaking boundaries and shaking things up in today’s beauty space with your intense conviction and celebrity influence. You are inspiring consumers, retailers, and future beauty brands to think globally and recognize that all skin tones matter."

In additional writings from Kim Johnson, Ateh Jewel, and Ashley, each explored how Fenty Beauty had personally impacted them. Kim credited Rihanna with changing her approach to life, writing, "I can be whoever I want to be, in part because you showed me I could." While Ateh thanked the Fenty founder for leading a change in the beauty industry, saying, "When I saw your campaign with its collective of powerful women of all shades, backgrounds, and religions, I shed a tear. My twin daughters are seven, and they are of mixed heritage with lighter skin and looser curls. The world is changing for them. At three, they used to cry that they wanted yellow hair like Elsa from Frozen. Now when we walk into beauty halls together, they see faces that look like them shining down and they feel proud and accepted."
