Supermodels Are Officially Wearing a $20 Grandpa Trend Instead of Shirts This Summer

It's getting to the point in the spring where you might want to stop wearing clothing. Thankfully, if you're looking for an alternative to shirts Kendall Jenner has an unexpected option.
Jenner was seen out in Los Angeles wearing a $75 Daniele Alessandrini suit vest, $150 pair of Alias Mae Paris slides, Stine Goya tote, round cat-eye sunglasses, and a pair of black trousers. Considering sweater vests were all over TikTok just a couple months ago, suit vests make sense as their seasonal successor. The goal is to look as much like your grandpa as possible.
Suit vests are also a more fitted alternative to a t-shirt, but they aren't as constraining as a corset. There are plenty of designer options, but even Jenner's cost just $75 and similar options are available for as low as $20 on Amazon. Suit vests also work as a layering piece if you aren't ready to part with shirts just yet — and they're a style that can easily carry over into the colder months when worn on top of anything else.
Now all we need is for Harry Styles to wear a suit version of his famous Princess Diana sheep sweater. Then the trend will be truly unstoppable. But until then, we'll follow Kendall's lead and opt for a simple beige take — and maybe even pair them with Birkenstocks, if we're feeling wild.
