Kyle Cooke is no stranger to drama on Summer House.

The original cast member has frequently been in the spotlight on the Hamptons, N.Y.-set Bravo reality series as the show tracked his relationship with Amanda Batula from on-and-off hookup to married couple and all the controversy in between. While he’s still in the center of the drama early on in this new season of Summer House, the difference is that it’s not centered on his relationship with Amanda; now it’s centered on his friendship with Carl Radke.

Going into Season 7, Carl was still working with Kyle at Loverboy while also head over heels in his still-new romance with Lindsay Hubbard and still figuring out the best possible lifestyle to support his sobriety. In the first few episodes, there has been tension between Carl and Kyle based mostly on their strained working relationship with each other.

For the latest episode of In The Know by Yahoo’s pop culture interview series We Should Talk, Kyle opened up about what contributed to the friends’ awkwardness to start off the summer and how he sees Carl’s relationship with Lindsay playing into the situation. He expressed hope for the future of their friendship and relief that they figured out everything as it pertained to Loverboy. He also discussed Lindsay’s drama with Danielle Olivera, what it’s like not being the only couple in the house and his experience on Peacock’s The Traitors US.
