They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If that’s the case, it appears that model Suki Waterhouse is a really big Mandy Moore fan.
The 27-year-old Charlie Says actress arrived at the Proenza Schouler New York Fashion Week show yesterday hardcore twinning with the 35-year-old This Is Us star…just a month later.
Waterhouse fittingly wore the Proenza Schouler asymmetric color-block crepe midi dress, which is currently available for preorder for $1,990, while sitting front row at the exclusive runway show. The dress features an open back, a hint of side boob and a draped waist with a cinching belt. Oh, and it happens to be the same dress Moore wore to an NBC Universal Emmy nominations celebration on August 14.
Interestingly, Moore and Waterhouse styled the frock very differently.
As you’ll notice above, Moore accessorized the look with an itty-bitty tassel purse and black pointed-toe heels with a braided ankle strap. She completed the ensemble with Anita Ko earrings (a similar pair from Ko’s line retails for a casual $21,650) and a sleek low bun with face-framing strands of hair.
Although Waterhouse rocked a similar hairstyle, she instead opted for black leather square-toe block-heel mules, a silver and oxblood handbag and white rectangular sunglasses. It’s all very futuristic chic and very Proenza.
Waterhouse kept her makeup natural and matte, while Moore opted for some winged eyeliner and a pink pout.
One high-fashion dress worn two very different ways. What’s not to love?
