Here Are the Submission Guidelines for Our 2019 Healthy Beauty Awards

Everything you need to know about this year’s awards.

Get excited: It’s almost time for the annual SELF Healthy Beauty Awards! Over the next few months, #TeamSELF will be testing makeup, hair-care, body-care, and skin-care products to find the best of the best that help us look good and feel great.

Beauty is an integral part of wellness, whether as a means of self-expression, a way to perform self care, or as a tool to help improve your health, and the right products can be a big help. That's why our goal for this year's Healthy Beauty Awards is for it to be an authoritative resource where people with specific health concerns can find exactly what they need (like products that work on sensitive skin, solutions for a dry scalp, or products that help with hyperpigmentation). Since we're doing things a bit differently this year, we wanted to give you the rundown on the type of products we're looking to test.

Keep reading for our 2019 beauty categories below. If you'd like to submit products for any of these categories, please follow these submission guidelines:

  1. To submit a product for eligibility, email info to selfbeautyawards@condenast.com, and someone from #TeamSELF will reach out with next steps. Within your email, please include:

    • A press release or info sheet about the product

    • The category you're submitting for (you may submit one product to multiple categories)

    • The ingredients list of the product (a photo of the ingredients panel on the product or product box is fine as long as all ingredients are clearly visible)

    • High-res photos of the product (white background preferred)

  2. New products and existing products with new formulations must have launched between June 2018 and May 2019 to qualify (products available for pre-order online as of May 2019 are eligible).

  3. Send product submissions (a minimum of five samples per product category) by March 22, 2019 only after you've received a reply from us; we will provide you with all address details when we respond to your email.
