Eddie Hall has gone through a significant transformation since his days of breaking deadlift records and winning strongman titles, both physically and professionally. The former World's Strongest Man has leaned down considerably over the last two years, shedding 90 pounds, getting ripped, and refocusing his entire training routine around becoming a boxer.

While his fighting plans are currently on hold as he recovers from a detached bicep, that isn't stopping Hall from pursuing another goal: starring in a Hollywood action movie.

The strongman-turned-boxer will be appearing in The Expendables 4 in 2022. And he didn't even need to audition. Hall was reportedly offered a role of one of the bad guys in the movie by its leading man, action movie legend Sylvester Stallone himself, after they met in 2019 when Stallone was visiting the UK. Hall and the former Rocky star have bonded over a shared love of boxing, and recently both filmed an Instagram video on set to congratulate Tyson Fury on his win against Deontay Wilder, with Stallone even hinting that Fury could star in the next Expendables movie.

Hall isn't the only new addition to the ensemble cast in The Expendables 4. He will be joined by a number of newcomers to the franchise, including Megan Fox (Night Teeth, Transformers), Andy Garcia (Ocean's 11), Levy Tran (The First Purge), Jacob Scipio (Bad Boys for Life), martial artist Tony Jaa and rapper 50 Cent.

Stallone will once again be playing Barney Ross in , the de facto leader of the Expendables, although he has publicly stated that this will be his final performance in the franchise. Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture will also be reprising their roles as Lee Christmas, Gunner Jensen and Toll Road respectively.
