Street Food Around the World in 87 Seconds

By Joanna Prisco

From freshly cracked balut to deep-fried hot dogs, street food around the world is as varied and tantalizing as the cities in which it is consumed.

But in the event that you can’t travel to Belgium, the Philippines, and Japan this summer, Buzzfeed viewers have uploaded snippets of video from those locales, and many others, to give you a taste of what the local fare is like.

Watch as fresh cuberdons, a cone-shaped Belgian candy, are shaken around a crumpled paper bag about to be devoured.

See a bespectacled Indian gentleman methodically swirl sweet Jalebi pastry batter into a fry pan and bubble its way toward a golden brown.

Gaze as a young man cracks off the top of an egg shell before shooting back balut, a boiled duck embryo that is considered a treat in the Philippines.

These and other tasty snacks appear in a quick montage that will leave you wanting to book a trip or, at the very least, reservations somewhere new.
