Stormy Daniels' lawyer has raced at Le Mans and in the Rolex 24

If you’ve been paying attention to the saga surrounding adult film star Stormy Daniels and her alleged affair and ensuing non-disclosure agreement with President Donald Trump, you’re probably aware of her lawyer Michael Avenatti.

Avenatti has been all over cable news and available for other media outlets as Daniels contends the non-disclosure agreement she signed about an alleged sexual encounter with Trump in 2006 isn’t valid because Trump didn’t sign it. And in addition to being a party to one of the most bizarre stories of 2018 (to date), did you know Avenatti is a sports car driver?

Avenatti has competed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and has made multiple starts in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the most prestigious North American sports car race.

His only Le Mans start came in 2015, when he co-drove a Ferrari for JMW Motorsport. The team finished 36th overall while driving in the LMGTE Amateur category. One of his co-drivers in that race was Saudi Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud.

Avenatti competed in the Rolex 24 in 2012, 2014 and 2015. His best finish came in 2015, when his Porsche team finished 19th overall and seventh in the GT Daytona class. One of his co-drivers in that race was Mike Skeen, whose girlfriend briefly became infamous in NASCAR in 2013. Kelly Heaphy was suspended indefinitely from NASCAR after she slapped Max Papis following a Truck Series race. That truck race, held at Mosport in Canada, is Skeen’s only Truck Series start.
