Stop Everything—Christie Brinkley Just Dropped An Epically Toned Throwback Pic

Christie Brinkley has been an It Girl for a long time, and she's got the receipts. The 69-year-old super model has been dropping some seriously epic throwback pics lately, and they have every picking their jaws up off the floor.

Christie treated her Instagram followers to a photo of a younger Christie riding a bike in swimsuit bottoms. It's like Hot Girl Summer but make it the 1980s. Christie always looks strong and confident, but this look definitely highlights her mega-strong legs.

In the pic, the star is wearing nothing but a vest and white swimsuit bottoms as she poses on a bike. She has sneakers and a little cap on to round out the casual look. (Christie was shooting with Harpers Bazaar in St. Barths, naturally). In the caption, Christie got real about body image and how she develops her own confidence.

“Looking back from here it’s hard to believe I was worried about my weight. I was considered athletic, which was an industry way of saying I wasn’t skinny which in my business can really weigh on a model!" Christie captioned the photo. "I was lucky because things were starting to change, and it also meant I got all the outdoorsy shoots I loved…Give me beaches and mountains over gowns in studios any day!”

Obviously, Christie’s followers loved the photo and hyped her up in the comments. “Absolutely gorgeous,” wrote one fan. Another added, “🤩 🤩 wow!!! 🤩 🤩.” And there were, of course, lots of fire emojis to go around.

Christie has clearly been putting in the work to stay super strong for years, and she isn’t afraid of pushing herself. She’s a big fan of spin instructors for this reason, she previously told Women’s Health. “Sometimes you need a little drill sergeant to inspire you and keep you going.”

Christie also likes to take her bike rides outdoors for some fresh air and sunshine, and I can't blame her! She shared some truly adorable photos of herself riding her turquoise bike on the beach, and it looks like a great time. “If you don’t ride the bike it will rust . Same thing with your body! You’ve got to move it ! Move it!” she captioned the photo. Good advice, Christie!

She likes to switch things up when it comes to her workouts, though. “The best exercise routine is not to have a routine, to mix it up,” she told NewBeauty. She might opt for paddle-boarding, long walks, or using her Total Gym machine, per the outlet. (Total gym is a piece of at-home workout equipment, that Christie likes so much that she actually invests in it.)

On the food front, Christie swears by something called the "rainbow diet," which is basically exactly what it sounds like: You fill your plate with foods that are all the colors of the rainbow to ensure you get the most nutrients possible.

“For many, many, many years, I've always said go for as many colors as possible in a day," she told Shape. "That's my main concept for making sure my kids get all the nutrients—making sure the deep greens, yellows, and reds, and purples.”

Christie also loves herself a little drink at the end of the day, so much so that she owns her own wine and Prosecco brand, Bellissima.
