“I’m excited to partner with StockX to release this Funko figurine because they’re the best place for me to find rare items that I can’t find anywhere else,” Balvin said in a statement. “It only felt right to release this with them.”

DropX, according to StockX, is its platform to digitally releasing products directly onto the secondary market, which also serves as a way for the company to continue its mission to boost “culturally relevant brands and creatives.” StockX also said DropX was created to complement its IPO drop model.

“In line with our revolutionary IPO model, which empowers buyers to set their own retail price, DropX is yet another example of the ways in which StockX blurs the lines between retail and resale,” StockX CMO Deena Bahri said in a statement. “We’re incredibly excited to introduce the concept in partnership with J Balvin, an artist who himself transcends convention through music.”

On Aug. 13, StockX will partner with London-based designers Carri Munden and Liam Hodges for the 75 limited-edition “Chaos Lost” T-shirts that will release at a $100 price point. StockX said it will come in a pack with multiples of four different vinyl transfers as well as admission to a live virtual customization workshop with both designers on Aug. 22.

And on Aug. 18, the DropX release will be in partnership with designer Tommy Bogo’s experiential outlet Tombogo. This will feature 10 cargo caps in collaboration with New Era that will include patches for customization. They will release at a starting price point of $120 and go up to $150.
