Thanks to a recent round of the game show, the 64-year-old TV personality burst into laughter after asking the Latham and Clark families to “name a kind of bird you'd hate to find out your relatives were serving for Thanksgiving dinner.” When Monica from the Clark family guessed “geese” and it wasn’t on the board, Taylor from the Latham family quickly swooped in with the top answer “pigeon.”
With that, the Latham family was first up to guess more birds — but nothing prepared Steve for what he was about to hear next. The Facebook Watch star then asked Donald to share what he was thinking.
“How about cardinals?” Donald replied.
Although his team showed their support with applause and encouraging words, Steve had to immediately turn away from everyone to silently laugh to himself. He tried to contain himself before the family earned a red "X" for the guess.
"You hardly ever see ‘em now. It’s a little red bird. Cardinal,” Steve chuckled to himself. “But when you see it, Donald [is] going to shoot it.”
Even when Steve had moved on to the next Latham family member, Steve couldn’t help but think more about Donald’s guess. Unsurprisingly, he broke out into laughter again. “Oh man, that was so dope,” he told Donald. “Thank you, man. God, I needed that. Boy, I needed that. Thank you, man.”
In the end, the Latham family got three strikes after incorrectly guessing “vulture” and “ostrich.” The Clarks won the round with “parrot.” Meanwhile, Family Feud fans watching at home were still chuckling along with Steve long after the moment had passed.
“A cardinal 😂😂😂😂,” one person wrote on YouTube. “Cardinals? For Thanksgiving? No thanks! 😂,” another added. “This made me laugh just as much as it made Steve laugh,” a different fan said.
Hey, it might not have been a correct answer, but it got us all laughing and that’s a win in our book!
